The Colts shutout the Raiders 4-0

Liam Lascelle posted a shutout, stopping all 22 of the Nepean Raiders shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead late in the first on a goal from Tommy Tanner and never looked back.

David A Poirier contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Alex Wilkins had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first, Tanner opened the scoring for Cornwall with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:52 with helpers from his teammates Williams and Wilkins.

In the second, Poirier put in a goal at 3:38 with a helper from his defensive partner, Wilkins. Wilkins deposited a goal at 15:44 with assists from Barnes and Hebert.

In the third period, Pogue netted a goal at 15:32 with assists from Maccormick and Poirier.

Cornwall’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s shutout, as he stopped all 22 of the shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Alaverdy, also had a big night, managing to stop 40 of 44, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (32-23-4-2).
