Liam Lascelle posted a shutout, stopping all 40 of the Kanata Lasers shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead early in the second on a goal from Keegan Mulhearn.
During the second, Mulhearn opened the scoring for Cornwall with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:42 with assists from his linemates, Quesnel and Grant.
In the third, Maccormick deposited a goal at 19:53 with a helper from Pogue.
The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s shutout, as he stopped all 40 of the shots he faced. On the other hand, Lascelle’s counterpart, Carriere, and the Lasers’ defense did not have such a great night stopping only 20 of 22 shots.
This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (31-23-4-2).
