The Colts crushed the Raiders 5-2

Liam Lascelle came up big, stopping 35 of 37 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead late in the second on a goal from Justin Mcrae.

Benjamin Dirven contributed with 2 goals and Ethan Mulhearn chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Liam Stagg did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first, Buckley opened the scoring for Nepean with a goal at 1:39 with a helper from fellow Raiders forward Stagg.

During the second, Poirier answered for the Colts with a goal at 0:36 with helpers from Hebert and Pogue. Dirven deposited a goal at 6:00 with assists from Wilkins and Tanner. Mcrae put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:19 with assists from his linemates, Mulhearn and Maccormick. Mulhearn netted a goal at 19:19 with helpers from his linemates, Mcrae and Maccormick.

During the third, Dirven put in a goal at 5:19 with helpers from teammates Hebert and Orr. Mueller answered for Nepean with a goal at 16:31 with assists from Tam and Stagg.

Cornwall’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s big night as he stopped 35 of the 37 shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Alaverdy, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 34, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (33-23-4-2).
