The Colts shutout the Grads 5-0

The Cornwall Colts' offense had a big night, peppering the Navan Grads with 52 shots throughout the game, to go along with Michael Carr's shutout. The Cornwall Colts took the lead early in the first on a goal from David A Poirier and never looked back.

David A Poirier contributed with 2 goals and Jd Pogue did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Poirier opened the scoring for the Colts with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:16 with helpers from his teammates Pogue and Monteleone. Hebert deposited a goal at 4:11 with assists from Maccormick and Wilkins. Poirier netted a goal at 16:14 with helpers from Hebert and Maccormick. Pogue put in a goal at 19:38.

In the third, Monteleone scored a goal at 12:50 with assists from Maccormick and Hebert.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Carr’s shutout, as he stopped all 39 of the shots he faced. Carr’s counterpart, Giacobbo, also had a big night, managing to stop 8 of 12, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (30-23-4-2).
