The Colts defeat the Grads 4-3

Michael Carr came up big, stopping 36 of 39 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Keegan Mulhearn.

Keegan Mulhearn did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Tommy Tanner had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Zachary Salloum ‘c’chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Salloum ‘c’opened the scoring for the Grads with a goal at 18:36 with helpers from Murray and Locatelli ‘a’.

During the second, Maccormick answered for Cornwall with a goal at 0:55 with helpers from Pogue and Orr. Fabbro answered for Navan with a goal at 7:05 with assists from his teammates Salloum ‘c’ and Carter. Hebert answered for the Colts with a goal at 9:44. Cianci answered for the Grads with a goal at 11:58 with assists from his linemates, Pickering and Smith. Tanner answered for Cornwall with a goal at 18:30 with helpers from his linemates, Mulhearn and Mulhearn.

In the third period, Mulhearn netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:00 with assists from his linemates, Tanner and Maccormick.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Carr’s big night as he stopped 36 of the 39 shots he faced. Carr’s counterpart, Carter, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 32, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (12-10-2-0).
