Pogue's hat trick helped the Colts crush the Nationals 5-2

Jd Pogue led the way with a hat trick as the Cornwall Colts crushed the Rockland Nationals 5-2 in a home game at Ed Lumley Arena in Cornwall. Also, the Cornwall Colts' offense had a big night, peppering Rockland with 45 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Jd Pogue.

Konnor Maccormick did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Tommy Tanner contributed with 2 assists. Mathieu Blanchette chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Maccormick opened the scoring for the Colts with a goal at 17:07 with helpers from his linemates, Mcrae and Tanner.

In the second period, Pogue put in a goal at 7:06 with helpers from his linemates, Maccormick and Hebert. Pogue deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:49 with assists from his linemates, Maccormick and Tanner. Boyer finally put the Nationals on the board with a goal at 15:47 with assists from teammates Blanchette and Power. Mulhearn answered for the Colts with a goal at 18:46 with helpers from his linemates, Mulhearn and Grant.

During the third, Blanchette answered for Rockland with a goal at 0:24 with helpers from Coykendall and Blad. Pogue answered for Cornwall with a goal at 5:15 with assists from Mcrae and Sandilands.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle as he stopped 21 of the 23 shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Roy, also had a big night, managing to stop 40 of 45, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (11-10-2-0).
