Kyle Renaud recorded a shutout against the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts as the Smiths Falls Midget AAA Bears picked up a 2-0 win.
Smiths Falls Midget AAA was led by Willem Larsen, who had one goal. Larsen scored 4:34 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Smiths Falls Midget AAA. Mackenzie Mercier picked up the assist.
The Bears put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cornwall Midget AAA to score on any of its four power plays. Smiths Falls Midget AAA was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Bears average 2.5 goals allowed per game.
