OHA U18 Midget AAA rips CIHA Green Midget AAA, 4-1

The CIHA Green Midget AAA Green had trouble finding ways to stop the OHA U18 Midget AAA OHA U17, which beat Green, 4-1.

OHA U18 Midget AAA pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

The OHA U17 were led by Josh Kim, who racked up one goal and one assist. Kim scored on the power play 11:23 into the first period to make the score 2-0 OHA U18 Midget AAA. OHA U18 Midget AAA had gained a power play chance when Trevor Finch was whistled for hooking. Brad Jenion assisted on the tally.

The OHA U17’s offense rang up 32 shots on CIHA Green Midget AAA’s net.

OHA U18 Midget AAA additionally got points from Dylan Stacey, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. OHA U18 Midget AAA also had goals scored by Justin Poirier and Zach Letto, who scored one goal each. In addition, OHA U18 Midget AAA received assists from Julien Allard and Heath Ford, who each chipped in one.

The Green were led by Jace Lis-DAlessandro, who scored the team’s only goal. Lis-DAlessandro scored on the power play 9:17 into the third period to make the score 3-1 OHA U18 Midget AAA. Cameron Pound provided the assist.

OHA U18 Midget AAA’s Francis Asselin stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The OHA U17 registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Ethan Hunt made 28 saves for CIHA Green Midget AAA on 32 shots. The Green incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
