Dylan Coffey grabbed one point to lead the OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 to a 2-1 victory over the Hawkesbury Midget AAA Hawks.
Yanick Leblanc also scored for OHA U17 Midget AAA. In addition, OHA U17 Midget AAA received assists from Shane Ford, Curtis Egert, and Nikita Lopatin, who each chipped in one.
Hawkesbury Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.
The Hawks were led by Nicholas Andre, who scored the team’s only goal. Andre scored on the power play 13:57 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury Midget AAA. Hawkesbury Midget AAA earned a power play opportunity when Thomas Harper was put in the box for interference. Cedric Roth picked up the assist.
Dillon Lamarche rejected 21 shots on goal for OHA U17 Midget AAA. The OHA U16 incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Connor Morris made 21 saves for the Hawks on 23 shots. Hawkesbury Midget AAA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
