Noel lifts Brockville Midget AAA over Gloucester Midget AAA, 4-1

Serron Noel was all over the ice for the Brockville Midget AAA Braves, as he tallied two goals in Brockville Midget AAA’s 4-1 win over the Gloucester Midget AAA Rangers.

Noel’s tallies came at 14:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brockville Midget AAA and 5:06 into the third to make the score 2-0 Brockville Midget AAA.

The Braves’ Kyle Herbison was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 35 saves and let only one puck past him. Herbison certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.03 entering the contest.

Brockville Midget AAA pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

The Braves’ offense rang up 40 shots on Gloucester Midget AAA’s net.

Brockville Midget AAA also got points from Adam VanEttinger, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Brockville Midget AAA also got a goal from Sutton Allard as well. In addition, Brockville Midget AAA received assists from Ben Davy and Mark Morrison, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Gloucester Midget AAA puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. The Rangers forced Brockville Midget AAA goalie Herbison to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Gloucester Midget AAA’s defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Rangers give up 1.8 goal per game.

The Braves registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Gloucester Midget AAA’s Brent Pledge-Dickson stopped 36 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
