Huge game by Gogolev boosts CIHA White Midget AAA over Hawkesbury Midget AAA, 6-2

Pavel Gogolev was all over the ice for the CIHA White Midget AAA White, as he tallied two goals and one assist in CIHA White Midget AAA’s 6-2 win over the Hawkesbury Midget AAA Hawks.

Gogolev scored at 8:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 CIHA White Midget AAA and again while 9:04 into the first to make the score 2-0 CIHA White Midget AAA.

The White outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, CIHA White Midget AAA averages 2.4 goals per contest.

CIHA White Midget AAA also got points from Semen Der-Arguchintsev, who also tallied one goal and one assist. CIHA White Midget AAA also got a goal from Jared Weber as well. In addition, CIHA White Midget AAA received assists from Jonathan Toope and Markus Odermatt, who each chipped in one and Seva Losev and Braeden-Jay Wynne, who contributed two each.

Hawkesbury Midget AAA did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 12 saves.

The Hawks were helped by Shownahnonkon Thompson, who registered one goal. Thompson scored 2:55 into the third period to make the score 4-2 CIHA White Midget AAA. Martin Lavigne provided the assist. Hawkesbury Midget AAA additionally got points from Lavigne, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury Midget AAA were Tyler Boivin and Cameron Buck, who each chipped in one.

The White’s Jacob Lavergne stopped 12 shots out of the 14 that he faced. CIHA White Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
