Joseph Samson was all over the ice for the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts, as he tallied four goals in Cornwall Midget AAA’s 4-1 win over the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green.
Samson got on the scoresheet 58 seconds into the third period. He then added goals at 3:16 into the third, at 8:27 into the third, and at 19:22 into the third.
The Colts put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CIHA Green Midget AAA to score on any of its three power plays.
Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall Midget AAA were Noah Konink, who had two and Adam Paquette, Jonah Peters, Ryan Vipond, and Ethan Mulhearn, who each chipped in one.
The Green were led by Guillaume Pelchat, who scored the team’s only goal. Pelchat scored 13:33 into the second period to make the score 1-0 CIHA Green Midget AAA. Trevor Finch picked up the assist.
Greg Brassard made 20 saves for Cornwall Midget AAA on 21 shots. The Colts incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. CIHA Green Midget AAA’s Ethan Hunt stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Green incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
