Oliver Carriere registered one point to lead the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians to a 4-1 victory over the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts.
Carleton Place Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.
Carleton Place Midget AAA also got a goal from Reece Bolton as well. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place Midget AAA were Joey Warywoda, Spencer Marshall, Ethan Wardman, Anthony Douchant, and Scott Gervais, who each chipped in one.
Cornwall Midget AAA found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against the Canadians’ defense.
The Colts were led by Ryan Vipond, who scored the team’s only goal. Vipond scored 8:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cornwall Midget AAA. Jonah Peters picked up the assist.
Chris Cuglietta rejected 13 shots on goal for Carleton Place Midget AAA. The Canadians incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Greg Brassard made 25 saves for Cornwall Midget AAA on 29 shots. The Colts incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
