Spencer Marshall finished with one point to lead the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians to a 4-1 victory over the Brockville Midget AAA Braves.
Carleton Place Midget AAA also got points from Skylar Quartermain, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Carleton Place Midget AAA included Dale Kilby and Ryland Mosley, who scored one goal each. In addition, Carleton Place Midget AAA received assists from Joey Warywoda, Anthony Douchant, and Cameron Scissons, who contributed one each and Liam Markhauser and Oliver Carriere, who each chipped in two.
Brockville Midget AAA’s offense was handcuffed by Carleton Place Midget AAA’s defensive play, and the Braves managed only 12 shots on goal during the game. Brockville Midget AAA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.
Michael Leach made 11 saves for the Canadians on 12 shots. Carleton Place Midget AAA incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Braves’ Ryan Green stopped 15 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Brockville Midget AAA registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
