Theodore's hat trick helped the Colts crush the 73's 7-1

Chris Theodore led the way with a hat trick as the Cornwall Colts crushed the Kemptville 73's 7-1 in a home game at North Grenville Municipal Centre in Cornwall. Furthermore, the Cornwall Colts' offense had a big night, peppering the 73's with 38 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Justin Mcrae.

Cameron Hebert contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Keegan Mulhearn chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second period, Theodore opened the scoring for the Colts with a goal at 4:12. Mcrae quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:39 with a helper from Mammas. Mulhearn deposited a goal at 10:37 with a helper from Mulhearn. Theodore put in a goal at 17:21 with an assist from his linemate Mulhearn. Hebert quickly followed with a goal at 17:43 with assists from Samson and Poirier. Samanski quickly followed with a goal at 17:55 with a helper from defenseman Giguere.

In the third period, Theodore answered for the Colts with a goal at 4:56. Poirier deposited a goal at 9:33 with assists from Mulhearn and Hebert.

Cornwall’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s big night as he stopped 35 of the 36 shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Brooks, also had a big night, managing to stop 17 of 22, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (5-3-0-0).
