THEODORE NAMED CCM PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ottawa, Ont. —

The Central Canada Hockey League announced Tuesday that Cornwall forward Chris Theodore has been named CCM Player of the Week.

Theodore, 19, is off to a flying start in his first year of junior hockey; the Hotchkiss alum is averaging better than a goal-per-game (1.11) and leads the CCHL in goals (10) and short-handed goals (2).

The uncommitted Beaconsfield, Quebec native had four goals — including a Sunday hat-trick — over the course of Cornwall’s two wins this past weekend against Kemptville.

Honourable mentions this week went to Kanata’s Jack Quinn, who had four points (3G/1A) in his first two games with the Lasers this season, and Ottawa’s Gabriel Carriere, who stopped 53 of 56 shots en route to two wins between the pipes with the Jr. Sens.
