Sinclair’s goals lift Gloucester Midget AAA to 5-2 victory over OHA U17 Midget AAA

The Gloucester Midget AAA Rangers relied on the scoring touch of Cameron Sinclair, who netted two goals, to beat the OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16, 5-2.

Sinclair found the back of the net on the power play 5:18 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Gloucester Midget AAA and again while 11:31 into the third to make the score 4-1 Gloucester Midget AAA.

Gloucester Midget AAA pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Rangers’ offense rang up 34 shots on OHA U17 Midget AAA’s net.

Others who scored for Gloucester Midget AAA included Erik Ross, Adam Johnston, and Marc Brosseau, who each put in one. More assists for Gloucester Midget AAA came via Connor Noonan, Ty Morelli, Sam Paquette, and Harry Sanders, who each chipped in one.

The OHA U16 were helped by Nikita Lopatin, who grabbed one goal. Lopatin scored on the power play 2:52 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Gloucester Midget AAA. OHA U17 Midget AAA had gotten the advantage when Gloucester Midget AAA’s Neil Gummeson was sent off for tripping. Curtis Egert assisted on the tally. Kyle Freeman also scored for OHA U17 Midget AAA. In addition, OHA U17 Midget AAA received assists from Yanick Leblanc and Dylan Coffey, who contributed one each.

Brent Pledge-Dickson rejected 15 shots on goal for the Rangers. Gloucester Midget AAA registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. Dillon Lamarche made 29 saves for the OHA U16 on 34 shots. OHA U17 Midget AAA incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
