Cornwall – Nepean built a 3-1 first period lead on route to a 5-1 victory over the Colts at the Ed Lumley Arena.
15 year old Josh Barnes scored his first CCHL goal for the Colts after being called up to play for the Jr.A club earlier in the week.
The Raiders outshot the Colts 47-23 with Michael Carr getting tagged with the loss. Liam Lascelle came into the game in relief to start the second period.
The Colts record drops to 6-6-1-0 (13pts).
The Pizza Pizza Three Stars were First Star Davis Browning (NEP), Second Star Ryan Horvath (NEP) and Third Star Josh Barnes (COR).
The Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Colts Player was Josh Barnes.
The Colts travel to Ottawa to play the Jr. Senators Saturday night. Game time is 7:30pm at the Jim Durrell Rec Centre.
Cornwall plays Pembroke as part of the CCHL Thanksgiving Day Showcase Monday at 12:45 at the CIH Arena in Rockland.
The Colts return home next Thursday, October 12th to face off against the Hawkesbury Hawks. Game time is 7:30pm at the Ed Lumley Arena.
