THEODORE HEADLINES GONGSHOW THREE STARS OF SEPTEMBER

Ottawa, Ont. — Cornwall Colts forward Chris Theodore earned first-star honours on the CCHL’s Gongshow Three Stars of the Month for September, while Ottawa Jr. Senators forward Chiwetin Blacksmith and Carleton Place Canadians defenceman Tim Theocharidis earned second- and third-star nods respectively.
The 20-year-old Theodore netted 11 goals in as many games during the month of September, which was highlighted by a Sept. 24 hat-trick against Kemptville. The Beaconsfield, Que. native had a five-game goal streak from Sept. 14 to Sept. 27.
Blacksmith, 20, exploded out of the gate for Ottawa with 19 points (6G, 13A) in 11 games during the month of September. The Waswanipi, Que. native had multiple points in six of those 11 games.
Theocharidis, 19, had 11 points (5G, 6A) in Carleton Place’s opening 12 games. His five goals — all of which came on the powerplay — led all CCHL defencemen in the month of September.
