The Colts defeat the Grads 5-3

Liam Lascelle came up big, stopping 35 of 38 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from David A Poirier.

Keegan Mulhearn contributed with 2 goals and David A Poirier chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Zachary Salloum ‘c’had a productive game with 2 assists.

During the first, Reynolds opened the scoring for the Grads with a goal at 0:22 with helpers from his teammates Locatelli ‘a’ and Salloum ‘c’. Osburn deposited a goal at 4:02 with a helper from his defensive partner, Matton. Mcrae finally put the Colts on the board with a goal at 14:01 with assists from Bidenti and Poirier.

During the second period, Mulhearn netted a goal at 1:56 with helpers from his linemates, Maccormick and Mammas. Fabbro answered for Navan with a goal at 17:43 with an assist from defenseman Salloum ‘c’. Mulhearn quickly followed with a goal at 18:39 with helpers from Dirven and Bidenti.

In the third period, Poirier netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:12 with assists from Theodore and Mulhearn. Theodore deposited a goal at 17:31 with helpers from Pogue and Poirier.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s big night as he stopped 35 of the 38 shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Kitchen, also had a big night, managing to stop 34 of 39, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (7-7-0-0).
