The Colts crushed the Junior Senators 6-3

The Cornwall Colts' offense had a big night, peppering the Ottawa Junior Senators with 34 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Henry Bishop.

Jeremy Quesnel chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Tommy Tanner delivered for his team with 3 assists. Conor Smart did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Dirven opened the scoring for the Colts with a goal at 3:00 with helpers from teammates Maccormick and Tanner. Smart answered for Ottawa with a goal at 17:08 with helpers from Marshall and Brant.

During the second, Shankar answered for Cornwall with a goal at 7:08 with assists from his linemates, Quesnel and Tanner. Hatto answered for the Junior Senators with a goal at 19:01 with helpers from his linemates, Cole and Smart.

In the third period, Poissant answered for the Colts with a goal at 4:44 with an assist from Barnes. Bishop netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:53 with helpers from Tanner and Poirier. Amsley deposited a goal at 15:13. Remer quickly followed with a goal at 16:25 with assists from his linemates, Turner and Manderville. Quesnel quickly followed with a goal at 18:00 with a helper from fellow Colts forward Maccormick.

Cornwall’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Carr’s big night as he stopped 38 of the 41 shots he faced. Carr’s counterpart, Boisvert, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (3-6-0-0).
