The Colts fall to the Hawks 5-4

The Cornwall Colts' defense had a poor night, allowing the Hawkesbury Hawks 27 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead late in the third on a goal from Hunter Duchesne.

Benjamin Dirven contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jack Collins chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Nicolas Elia had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 goals and Michael Marleau delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Collins opened the scoring for Cornwall with a goal at 5:02 with helpers from his teammates Dirven and Huntley. Barnes put in a goal at 18:15 with a helper from his linemate Quesnel.

In the second, Elia finally put Hawkesbury on the board with a goal at 12:17 with assists from Lavallee and Crete. Bishop quickly followed with a goal at 13:32 with an assist from Poissant. Marleau answered for the Hawks with a goal at 17:38.

In the third period, Elia deposited a goal at 0:35 with a helper from Lavallee. Gasuik scored a goal at 6:49 with a helper from Taillon. Dirven answered for Cornwall with a goal at 9:06 with assists from Collins and Huntley. Duchesne answered for Hawkesbury with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:22 with an assist from Marleau.

This loss brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (4-8-1-0).
