During the second, Maccormick opened the scoring for Cornwall with a goal at 2:46 with helpers from his teammates Theodore and Monteleone. Belec answered for Nepean with a goal at 7:59 with helpers from White and Rowe.
In the third period, Poirier answered for the Colts with a goal at 14:17 with an assist from Theodore. Theodore quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:59. Arseneau answered for Nepean with a goal at 18:23 with assists from his linemates, Belec and Renaud. Quinn quickly followed with a goal at 19:19.
Cornwall’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s big night as he stopped 55 of the 57 shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Souliere, also had a big night, managing to stop 31 of 34, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (10-9-2-0).
