The Colts defeat the Junior Senators 2-1

Liam Lascelle came up big, stopping 41 of 42 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Jacob Shankar.

During the second, Williams opened the scoring for Cornwall with a goal at 8:08 with assists from his linemates, Collins and Pogue. Shankar put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:21 with helpers from his linemates, Mcrae and Mulhearn.

In the third period, Veillette finally put the Junior Senators on the board with a goal at 18:19 with assists from his linemates, Lalonde and Blacksmith.

Cornwall’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s big night as he stopped 41 of the 42 shots he faced. On the other hand, Lascelle’s counterpart, Boisvert, and Ottawa’s defense did not have such a great night stopping only 15 of 17 shots.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (25-17-4-2).
