The Colts defeat the Grads 4-3

Michael Carr came up big, stopping 33 of 36 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead late in the third on a goal from Keegan Mulhearn.

Justin Mcrae delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and James Orr had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 assists. Zachary Salloum ‘c’ contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Simon Besner ‘a’ chipped in with 3 assists.

During the first period, Breton opened the scoring for the Grads with a goal at 7:13 with helpers from teammates Way ‘a’ and Besner ‘a’ . Salloum ‘c’ netted a goal at 15:07 with helpers from Mcpherson and Besner ‘a’ .

In the second, Fabbro put in a goal at 16:07 with assists from Besner ‘a’ and Salloum ‘c’ .

During the third period, Mcrae finally put Cornwall on the board with a goal at 4:56 with helpers from Tanner and Orr. Tanner netted a goal at 12:02 with assists from Mcrae and Orr. Maccormick scored a goal at 14:47 with helpers from his linemates, Tanner and Mcrae. Mulhearn quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:47 with assists from Tanner and Sandilands.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Carr’s big night as he stopped 33 of the 36 shots he faced. Carr’s counterpart, Giacobbo, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 30, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (14-13-4-1).
