The Colts defeat the 73's 5-3

Liam Lascelle came up big, stopping 31 of 34 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Ethan Grant.

Keegan Mulhearn chipped in with 2 goals and Tommy Tanner had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Liam Hunter delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first, Mulhearn opened the scoring for Cornwall with a goal at 4:01. Orr put in a goal at 18:26 with a helper from his teammate Tanner.

During the second, Tanner deposited a goal at 4:28 with helpers from his linemates, Mcrae and Maccormick. Grant scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:42 with assists from his linemates, Quesnel and Collins. Hunter finally put Kemptville on the board with a goal at 12:32 with assists from Williams and Jefferies. Faith quickly followed with a goal at 13:51 with helpers from Meyer and Hunter . Frazee quickly followed with a goal at 15:43 with helpers from Taylor and Hunter .

In the third, Mulhearn answered for Cornwall with a goal at 7:48 with assists from his linemates, Tanner and Maccormick.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s big night as he stopped 31 of the 34 shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Bond, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (15-13-4-1).
