The Colts crushed the Lumber Kings 6-2

Liam Lascelle came up big, stopping 37 of 39 shots throughout the game. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from David A Poirier.

Jd Pogue had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and David A Poirier chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Pogue opened the scoring for Cornwall with a goal at 13:28 with helpers from his linemates, Maccormick and Tanner. Warnholtz quickly followed with a goal at 14:04 with helpers from teammates Weber and Rowland.

During the second, Mulhearn answered for the Colts with a goal at 1:28 with an assist from defenseman Poirier. Vroman answered for Pembroke with a goal at 5:12 with helpers from Douglas and Cross. Poirier answered for Cornwall with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:55 with assists from Maccormick and Tanner. Markell deposited a goal at 13:41 with a helper from defenseman Quinn.

In the third period, Collins netted a goal at 4:21 with an assist from Shankar. Shankar scored a goal at 14:29 with helpers from Pogue and Orr.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s big night as he stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Smith, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 32, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (23-17-4-1).
