Slumping Cornwall Jr. A Colts have sense of urgency ahead of game vs. Nepean

If it’s not yet crunch time for the Cornwall Jr. A Colts, it’s close to it.

The Colts will look to shake themselves out of the January doldrums on Thursday night when they host the Nepean Raiders at the civic complex, and at Wednesday’s team workout, there was a sense of urgency.

When asked at rinkside what it’ll take to turn things around, head coach Ian MacInnis turned the question over to all of his players who had gathered for instructions near a writing board.

“Pay attention to the small things,” one player shouted out.

MacInnis chimed in, saying “our attention to detail isn’t grand. . . you’re seeing it now (at the workout), pucks flying all over the place.”

A minute later, an exasperated MacInnis told his troops “you guys decide the outcomes (of games), I’m just along for the ride.”
