MICHAEL CARR COMMITS TO BEMIDJI

Cornwall Colts goaltender Michael Carr has committed to Bemidji State University Beavers NCAA Division 1 hockey team for the 2019-2020 season.

The 20 year old Columbus Ohio native in 2 seasons with the Colts has put together a .919 save percentage with a 2.87 goals against average in 70 games played.

Carr will be studying Community Health at Bemidji which is located in Minnesota.

“I am super excited for this opportunity,” said Carr. “It is pretty much every Americans dream to play Division 1 and I am thrilled to be able to play with such a great school and league. Playing in the CCHL has definitely helped me grow as a young man and player. Playing against older guys and living on your own forces you to elevate your game to be successful. I am so thankful for the Colts organization, the fans and the City of Cornwall for welcoming me and making me feel at home these past two years.”

Coach Ian Macinnis says “ Carr has been an absolute work horse this year. His blue collar approach to his position has lead to his success, with this continued approach the best is yet to come”
