Mcrae's hat trick helped the Colts crush the Grads 5-0

Justin Mcrae led the way with a hat trick as the Cornwall Colts crushed the Navan Grads 5-0 in a home game at Navan Memorial Centre in Cornwall. Besides, the Cornwall Colts' offense had a big night, peppering the Grads with 41 shots throughout the game, to go along with Liam Lascelle's shutout. The Cornwall Colts took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Justin Mcrae and never looked back.

Keegan Mulhearn did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Cameron Hebert delivered for his team with 3 assists.

During the first, Mcrae opened the scoring for the Colts with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:43 with helpers from his teammates Mulhearn and Poirier. Mcrae deposited a goal at 18:44 with helpers from Poirier and Maccormick.

In the second, Mulhearn netted a goal at 9:21 with assists from his linemates, Hebert and Lascelle.

During the third, Mcrae scored a goal at 7:59 with helpers from Hebert and Woodside. Mulhearn put in a goal at 10:25 with assists from his linemates, Mulhearn and Hebert.

The Colts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Lascelle’s shutout, as he stopped all 39 of the shots he faced. Lascelle’s counterpart, Giacobbo, also had a big night, managing to stop 36 of 41, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Cornwall Colts’ record to (16-13-4-1).
