COLTS EARN 2NDSTRAIGHT VICTORY – 6-4 OVER NAVAN

Cornwall– The Colts scored 3 goals in the first three minutes of the first period on route to a 6-4 win over Navan at the Ed Lumley Arena Thursday night.

Josh Barnes scored into an empty net with less than a minute to play to seal the victory.  Barnes had two goals on the night.  Konnor MacCormick and Justin McRae each had a goal and an assist.  Tristan Poissant and Jeremy Quesnel also scored.  Jacob Shankar chipped in with two assists.

The Grads outshot the Colts 36-31.  Michael Carr stopped 22 of 23 shots in relief of starter Rico DiMatteo to earn the victory in goal.

The Colts improve to 2-5-0-0 on the season.

The Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Player of the game was Ethan Mulhearn.

The Wendy’s Restaurant 3 Stars were First Star Konnor MacCormick (COR), Second Star Justin McRae (COR) and Third Star Jackson Arcan (NAV).

The Colts look for their third straight win when they play in Brockville Friday night.  Game time is 7:30pm at the Brockville Memorial Centre.

The Colts return home next Thursday, September 27thto host the Ottawa Jr Senators.  Game time is 7:30pm at the Ed Lumley Arena.
